Arrival not by a jet plane

First Cessna travel in Central America

traveling in a small plane while encountering storm clouds, brings trust to new levels. I had the opportunity to sit in the Co-pilot seat, making sure not to bump the controller, or whatever it’s called. As we were taxiing the pilot opened his small window to get more fresh air as it was stifling hot; what a good idea, so the co-pilot (not really) opened his window. Fresh air was indeed good, but I sensed it was time to close the window, after all the pilot closed his…hmm my window is not closing. The pilot gets the go ahead to take off without consulting the co-pilot and his now problematic window- it won’t close. I forgot to mention the pilot tells me you have to be strong, in perfect English. Now taxiing, now flying with the window open, trying to be strong 🤔 and apparently not strong enough as we are flying 175 MPH. Ok, struggled a little bit longer, then I prayed, and looked for something I was missing. I pushed up on the window getting part ways inline, but the latch would not pull over the locking mechanism. After more struggles and prayer i looked at the closing mechanism and saw I could slightly change the angle of the chromed lever, such that it just barely pulled shut. Wow, don’t do that everyday- the adventure continues.
